This day in age Splash pages are all the rage! I know that was so bad, but I just couldn't help myself! I'm sure if you're anything like me, you constantly look at other photographers websites to see what they're doing. For a long time I was really unimpressed with my splash page, and everyone else seemed to have awesome pages.
Your Splash page is important. IT's where your potential client lands when they go to your main url. It's what grabs them and makes them want to go further into your website. Let's face it, if your landing page sucks, why should they look any further?
I encourage you to use the View-> Source feature in your web browser. It allows you to look at the source code of the page you are currently viewing. That's how I get my ideas! When you see pages you like, take a few minutes and look at the source code to see how they did it. You'll learn so much that way.

LESSON ONE:
We all have to get started somewhere... and most of us, when we are trying to get started, we don't have much in the way of cash flow. Just to get things straight up front, FRUGAL does not = CHEAP! It simply means that you are making the most of your money and trying to not waste it. My name is Erin Krieg, and I am a frugal fotographer. I'm always looking for ways to strech my dollar and make my business profitable from the get go. The intent of this blog is to pay it forward... Many people have helped me to get where I am today, so I wanted to share my knowledge of frugality in business with the world. So we go...
LESSON ONE:
Don't be cheap. The definition of frugal is to not waste. When you make decisions exclusively based on $$, a lot of times you end up with one of two problems.
1.) You either end up with a low quality product that doesn't function correctly.
2.) You end up spending more $$ to get to where you wanted to be, resulting in not really saving anything for your troubles.
So the point of lesson one is to be frugal when it makes sense, and spend $$ when it makes sense.
